‘Drop the T’: My Change of Mind

I’ve been thinking about my position on the ‘Drop the T from LGBT’ campaign a lot recently, something which I have supported based on the toxicity of transgender activism and its effect on the lesbians in particular.

I have changed my position from supporting the removing of the T from LGBT, the reason being so many transmen are part of the ‘L’ and these women in some way are likely to need the support the larger LGBT can provide; taking the T out is likely to isolate lesbians from their own community.

The problem in LGBT is that at the moment it is to a large extent being run for and even to some degree by heterosexual males. For evidence, look at the board of GLAAD or the Stonewall Trans Advisory Group and how these are influencing policy.
