It’s cruel to lie to people about what they are. People should be accepted for what they are, and you should not base friendship on a lie.
It is indecent when you diminish rhetorical and physical violence against women, and cannot address the systematic bullying of lesbians by straight and transgender men.
If my words help just one person come to terms with their own body and not choose the difficult life of ‘transition’, then my work has been successful.
